================================== Electronic Frontiers New Hampshire Meeting Notice ================================== Please redistribute to other appropriate lists. WEDNESDAY, January 10, 1996 7:00 - 9pm - EFNH meeting at MV Communications in Litchfield Directions are at the end of this message. The speaker will be Rep. Neil Kurk, a NH legislator from Weare. He will be explaining the NH legislative process - how it all works, how bills move back and forth... if you've never heard how the NH legislature operates, it's worth coming to learn about... it's somewhat bizarre... his presentation will not be a prepared speech, but more of a discussion session with plenty of time to ask questions. He'll also be speaking about what bills will be in the session that are of concern to us. He is not really tuned in to our concerns about the online world... but he is *extremely* concerned about issues of privacy protection (hence the linkage to some of our concerns). If you are aware of any impending legislation, or what to learn about upcoming legislation, or just want to gain a better understanding of how laws get made here in NH... this evening should be an interesting discussion. If you cannot attend, but wish to give input on any of those topics, please send a message to "efnh-discuss@mv.com" If you would like more information about EFNH, send a mail message to: efnh-info@mv.com or visit our WWW pages at the URL: http://www.efnh.org/ DIRECTIONS: ----------- DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING - from the NORTH Take the Brown Ave exit south from 293. Brown Ave is the airport exit, so follow the airport signs. Follow Brown Ave south as it turns into Rte 3A (and ignore any confusing signs about where Brown Ave goes, just stay on the main road); past the airport 2-3 miles come to a horse farm on the right. A short ways beyond that go underneath power lines. Half a mile beyond that is the Litchfield Technology Plaza on the right. MV is #2 in there - phone is 429-2223. DIRECTIONS - from the SOUTH: If you are coming from the south, you could come up 3A from where it intersects with Rte 102 in Hudson (this exercise is left for those who know where that is, otherwise just head up the highway and come down from 293). Go north on Rte 102 7-8 miles until you pass Shorty's Mexican Roadhouse on the left. Landmarks to watch for: about halfway there you'll pass a school, then a town hall and fire station. Another couple of miles there will be a golf course on the left. A mile or so beyond that is Shorty's. MV is in the Litchfield Technology Plaza which is about a 1/2 mile further on the left. MV is in #2 - phone is 429-2223.
