EFNH Meeting Notice

There will be a re-organizing meeting for Electronic Frontiers New Hampshire on

     Tuesday, February 28  at 7pm

     at the Granite Street Bar & Grill in Manchester, NH
     (directions are below)

so that we can give the restaurant an accurate seat count. (If you are unsure, feel free to just show up... we just want to give the restaurant as good a guess as we can. Thanks.) We are just getting a regular table, and some of us, anyway, are planning to eat there. Reservation is currently under "Dan York".

Major items of discussion will include:

• identification of key issues for 1995. Some issues under consideration include:
  • working to repeal export restrictions on crypographic software
  • opposing Senate bill 314 (Communications Decency Act of 1995 - which, as *currently* written, has some possible censorship issues)
  • continuing our opposition to the Clipper encryption scheme
• setting of specific goals and start of planning of actions
• planning for how to get people to Presidential Primary campaign events to draw attention to our issues
• speaking at public events
• future meetings/events for 1995 - organizational details (mail address, etc.)

DIRECTIONS

The Granite Street Bar and Grill is located at the intersection of Granite Steet and Commercial Street down by the river in Manchester. Food is reasonably priced and generally quite good. The phone number is 622-0900.

FROM THE SOUTH

• Get off on EXIT 5 for "Granite Street".
• Turn RIGHT at the end of the off-ramp and go across the bridge.
• Turn LEFT at the first light onto Commercial Street.
• Take the next LEFT onto the short road down to the restaurant.

FROM THE NORTH

Get onto I-293 heading South. THERE IS NO EXIT 5 FROM THIS DIRECTION.

• Get off on EXIT 6 for the "Amoskeag Bridge"
• I believe you may have to go around a rotary... you want to head onto the bridge toward downtown.
• On the bridge, follow signs for "Canal Street" (you'll bear RIGHT)
• Turn RIGHT at first set of lights onto Commercial Street
• After about 1 mile, turn RIGHT onto the short road down to the restaurant. You'll be within sight of the major intersection with Granite Street.

FROM THE EAST

If you're coming across Route 101, I would go SOUTH on I-93, and then almost immediately get on I-293, which will bring you around the bottom of Manchester and you'll be heading North on I-293 (so follow the "From the South" directions above)

FROM THE WEST

I guess you'd be coming across 101, so you'll just get on I-293 heading North, and follow the "From the South" directions above.
