Meeting of Electronic Frontiers New Hampshire (EFNH), Litchfield, NH, June 6, 1995, at MV Communications, Litchfield, NH.

The meeting was opened at 7:00 PM by Dan York, president.

Dan reported a late announcement that Sen. Dole has proposed or is proposing an even nastier bill net censorship bill than Exon-Gorton. However, a fax received at EFNH stated that the bill will not be fast-tracked. He also reported that Sen. Lott is proposing a separate bill to strike out the service provider defenses from Exon-Gorton.

There was a discussion of how to answer the media. Plans for a press release on the Exon-Gorton Amendment were discussed.

Treasurer Perry Engle reported that we still have no money.

Dan suggested having quarterly meetings with speakers, in addition to the regular meetings. Gary McGath suggested this could be done experimentally on a one-shot basis. Ideas were discussed with no firm conclusions being reached.

Quentin Lewis suggested sending a survey to the Presidential candidates in order to get information on where they stand. Quentin said he would post a list of questions for this survey, to be discussed on the mailing list. He also proposed a press release in conjunction with this. Matt and Perry joined Quentin in a subcommittee on the questionnaire, and Dan said he would handle its distribution.

Gary said he would finalize two outstanding items, a general press release and a flyer, and send hard copy to Dan for approval and distribution.

There was a discussion on gathering positive stories about the Internet, specifically including ways in which the Internet has helped people in New Hampshire, for use in articles and publicity materials.

The next meeting was scheduled for July 11, at 7 PM, at MV Communications.
